News; Famous Gynecologist removes woman’s eggs to sell them on black market

A popular doctor in Italy has been arrested for allegedly stealing the eggs of a woman who underwent a procedure at his clinic.

The 70-year-old Gynecologist identified as Severino Antinori from Rome was arrested as he was about to leave the country at the Fiumicino airport.

The gynecologist was charged with theft and causing injury.

An investigation was launched after a 24-year-old woman filed a complaint, saying that Antinori diagnosed her with an ovarian cyst with the sole intention of harvesting her eggs.

During the procedure, Antinori removed the woman's eggs without her knowledge. The woman also alleged the doctor seized her phone before the procedure then forcibly restrained her. He then put her under anesthesia and performed the surgery without her consent.

The woman called the police from a payphone at the clinic after the surgery.

Antinori who is famous around the world after successfully treating women older than 60 years old who suffered from infertility was arrested and charged with theft and causing injury.
