The Perspective; Nigerian Journalism; A borrow-pit journalism

Doubtlessly, 30th May is a day marked as a memorial day for Biafrans popularly called Heroes Day.This day serve as a special day to remember the millions of Biafrans slaughtered  on grounds of the ironical concept tagged ‘’ Unity in Diversity’’. It’s no longer news that the totality of all human institution across all time zones are attracted to this global phenomenon. Placards with this inscription ‘’In memory of Biafrans killed, we remember’’, are conspicuously the object of attraction across continents of the world.

One prime question of importance would be: Does the constitution of every country in the world including the Nigeria constitution allow people to pledge solidarity for their lost loved ones who died that they might live? The answer is yes. If this becomes the case, why would the Nigerian Army maim and kill unarmed Biafrans who were remembering their lost loved ones?

As callous as the Nigerian media houses /platforms who are actually practitioners of BORROW-PIT JOURNALISM, where they do not only adulterate news bits, but as well distort news headlines, has in similar manner done it today. We have such proofs today. One startling proof was the intentional approach they all used in today’s global event. This event was well pronounced by a popular Bristish tabloid International Business Times, yesterday. Consequent upon this, no Nigerian media house and platform appended anything concerning Biafra’s memorial day yesterday, although they know to heart that it is a global phenomenon. In spite of this complete breach of information, the gross violation of Human Rights by the Nigerian Army today, did not come into publication through Nigerian media houses and platforms rather they distort the headlines and maneuver the story lines.

Note;  Not less than 18 people were killed at Nkpor in Anambra State as the memorial day progressed, of which Immaculate writers which were standing in for Onlinetrigger witnessed about 8 deaths

The question is, how many Nigerian media houses/platform published the atrocities committed in today’s memorial day? The answer is none.

Take a look at the clips below which are extracted from the tweeter handle of the various Nigerian media houses/ platforms. This would show you how their BORROW-PIT  JOURNALIST, consciously ignored the killings of unarmed Biafrans in their tweet. You would also see the number of followers feeding on the daily excreta they publish. It’s quite pitiable
