New Militant Group, Isoko Liberation Movement, Gives FG
7-Days Ultimatum
An emerging militant group, the Isoko Liberation Movement,
on Thursday, May 19, 2016, said it has formed alliance with the Niger Delta
Avengers and Red Egbesu Water Lions, calling for the total disintegration of
Nigeria as its only objective.
Spokesman of the group, one Colonel Paul Iziakpono, said the
members have made consultations with relevant stakeholders and other liberation
fighters in the Niger Delta region, noting that the solution to the Nigeria
challenges was disintegration or war.
In a statement titled “Peaceful Disintegration or War”, the group, commended the peaceful struggle of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), adding that peace and lengthy litigations will not yield the needed result.
It described the Nigerian state as a state under Islamic
rule, hence peaceful negotiation cannot produce any meaningful result for the
unity of Nigeria.
According to Punch, the group advised Niger Deltans living
in the North and West to return to the south as their safety cannot be
guaranteed after seven days ultimatum for them to return.
“We advise all Niger Deltan’s still living in the northern
and western part of the country to return home within seven days as their
safety cannot not be guaranteed after then.
“We advise the Buhari Lead Government to as a matter of
urgency call a national conference to discuss the peaceful disintegration of
Nigeria or standby and watch the country sink.
“We are giving the Buhari Led Government of this fraud
called Nigeria seven days to release IPOB leader Kanu Nnamdi or we shall rain
hell on all oil installation within the Isoko land.
“For all those Isoko politicians who think they want to work
with the Nigeria government to fish us out, our advice for you is watch your
back, for we know all your every move.
“Finally we really do not think that any Isoko sons or
daughter’s blood is worth spilling, so please stay out of our way,” the
statement said.
