Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra has been denied bail by Hon. Justice Binta Nyako. Representatives of IPOB and members of Family Writers believe that the Hon. Justice was intimidated by President Buhari.

News; President Buhari extends public holiday to Thursday.

The federal gov’t according to this notice has extended the two-day public holiday for the celebration of Eid-el Fitr to three days. The public holiday scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday  will now extend to Thursday.

NEWS FLASH; More Woes as EFCC Obtains Fresh Warrant To Detain Fani-Kayode For Another 3 weeks.

Despite having been served court notices for the enforcement of his fundamental human rights, the EFCC today sneaked Chief Femi Fani-Kayode into an Ikeja magistrate court where they obtained a highly contentious warrant to keep him in their custody for another three weeks even though EFCC requested for a thirty-day remand warrant. Chief Fani-Kayode’s lawyers had served the EFCC the court notices from a Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, 20th of May, 2016, but to our consternation he was whisked to Lagos last Thursday and taken to an Ikeja Magistrate court this morning where they applied to keep him for another thirty days.

News Flash; Labour Plan to Proceed with Strike Despite Court Decision- Reports

According to the Vanguard, the NLC and TUC have decided to go ahead with their proposed strike action despite the ruling of the NIC.

Reports from the Vanguard indicate that this decision was taken at the NLC’s National Executive Council meeting that held at the NLC headquarters in Abuja.

The strike action is to commence at 12 midnight and is indefinite.


According to the Vanguard a source said “Our decision not to suspend the strike was further fuelled by today’s injunction by the Industrial Court,restraining us from proceeding on the strike expected to begin tomorrow,”

News; Syria survivor in pains "I have only this girl left, she is 11 years old."

Condemnation has mounted over deadly air strikes on a camp for displaced people in northern Syria's Idlib, as a ceasefire that was due to end on Saturday was extended by 72 hours.
Women and children were reported to be among 30 killed in Thursday's raids near the Turkish border, which also wounded more than 50 others.

"I came out and I saw my son bleeding in his abdomen and his shoulder, and I couldn't find my daughter and her children and then I found her dead. Praise be to God," Um Mohamed, a survivor, said.

"I have only this girl left, she is 11 years old."

Another survivor said that there was no safe place for refugees.

"Where are we supposed to go? Tell me a safe place I can go to. Death is the same, if it is here or back home we all die the same," Mostafa said.
