Sandie, being her usual insecure self, asked me: "Emmy, to you eh, what makes a girl beautiful? Is it the fineness of her face? Or the sizes of her Double B?"
I looked at her, and gave off my usual cryptic smile; that says a lot, and nothing, at the same time.
Well, I began, for me to consider you beautiful, the face and Double B (Butt and Boobs) have to be taken into consideration, quite alright, but am more of a Details man. I don't just give a girl a cursory, summarized glance and say if she's beautiful or not. I check out minute, seemingly inconsequential details like the size and shape of her feet, her ear lobes, thighs and calves sizes, nails, length of her neck, hairline, prominence of clavicles (the bones that join the centre of your chest to your shoulders), etc.
Sandie dear, I continued, these things might seem irrelevant and negligible, but to me, these are some of the things I check out before proclaiming a girl beautiful or not. Of course, no one girl can have all these details in Cinderella-configurations, but still, anyone I term "beautiful", must be close enough.
Nne, details matter a great deal. It is this small (small) things that matter most. They are actually what add up to produce something bigger and finer.
Family is detail. The most important detail, actually. Spending quality time with family is detail. The most important detail, actually. Make memories, laugh, shout, get angry, rage and rave. As long as its family, its important and absolutely necessary. Just do them.
Friends and That One True Love are details too. Very important details. Pay attention to these too. Indispensable, they are.
Goal too is important. Although not so detail-y, its important 'cause it is the Double B of any beautiful girl. Any beautiful year. Any beautiful life.
So, my dearest Sandie, when you add up all these seemingly minute details, you get a beautiful girl. A beautiful year. A beautiful life.
